On a beautifull Sunday in November 2010 we made a trip to Lopana & Amurang (about 70 km south from Manado).
My mother was born and spent her youth in AMURANG about a hundred years ago. When she died at the age of 83 years she was laid to rest in Lopana that was her father’s favourite property . On this site are also her father, mother and other relatives burried. Since she herself was appointed to be a veteran of the strugle for independence and her husband (my father) is a national hero, a big sign was placed in front of the site.
AMURANG, now is (on weekdays) a hustling and bustling small town.
